Dr Yusof (Joe) Omar MBBCh, DA, MRCA

Joe left the NHS in 1984 to establish a private practice in anaesthesia / sedation for dentistry in the Harley Street area, and is now a senior partner at Sedation Solutions Llp, a partnership of dedicated sedationists serving over 1200 dentists and surgeons in the South East. Joe is a Senior Clinical Teaching Fellow in Sedation at the Eastman CPD. He has lectured on medical emergencies for dental personnel for over 30 years. Joe served on the Standing Committee for Sedation in Dentistry from 2007 until 2010. He is currently a Council member and past president of the Association of Dental Anaesthetists.

A Fly on the Surgery Wall

Dr Joe Omar is not a dentist but has worked with several hundred dentists during his 34-year career in Sedation and Anaesthesia. He has been a silent observer of his surroundings, his colleagues, their staff and their ways and habits. This presentation is a frank yet benign reflection of his observations.
